Graphene-based thermoacoustic sound source
WebNov 8, 2024 · Here, we report graphene-based dual-function acoustic transducers for machine learning-assisted human–robot interfaces (GHRI). The GHRI functions both an artificial ear through the triboelectric acoustic sensing mechanism and an artificial mouth through the thermoacoustic sound emission mechanism. WebGraphene is an excellent two-dimensional (2D) material and can be deployed as sound emitters based on electrical thermoacoustic effect (ETA). Traditional graphene-based ETA emitter renders ineffective audio quality in low frequency range due to its small output magnitude and large total harmonic distortion. Here we propose a packaging method that …

WebJul 1, 2024 · Graphene is also a nearly ideal thermoacoustic material. The HCPUA for free standing graphene is about 5.8 × 10 −4 J/m∗K, which is one order of magnitude lower than that for single layer CNT film [10]. This gives graphene based thermophones the potential advantage of high acoustic output with low driver voltage [9]. WebMar 18, 2024 · Thermoacoustic (TA) effect has been discovered for more than 130 years. However, limited by the material characteristics, the performance of a TA sound source could not be compared with magnetoelectric and piezoelectric loudspeakers. Recently, graphene, a two-dimensional material with the lowest heat capacity per unit area, was …
