First remove the plastic valve cover covering, then remove the 2 screws that hold the filter to the real valve cover, then use a large flathead screwdriver or small pry bar to pry up on the filter from each side. The 2006 - 2007 year have an all plastic valve cover. The crankcase breather and oil seperator is part of the plastic cover.

I have seen comp guys adding a few breathers to the valve covers to let out more pressure also. The 4bt cover is a great idea!!
